The 2025-2026 Staff

A group of diverse young people pose together outdoors, smiling.

The word 'PUBLICATIONS' is displayed in a rectangular button.

Are you interested in journalism? Covering sports, events, or other aspects of student life?

Does working to create the lasting legacy of your time at WCHS sound fun to you?

Consider joining Publications!

These classes are an excellent way to experience real-world situations that impact the journalist, graphic designer, marketer, and/or photographer. Student staff members create all the issues of the paper and each year’s yearbook while marketing their product and selling advertisements to help fund their publications.

Frequently, these students are asked to covere specific marketing or photography jobs for the district. Occasionally, these jobs are paid! Publications students have been asked to cover the N.E.W. Workshop, they’ve been asked to help create a staff directory for the Transportation Department, and they’re asked to assist the Theatre Department with headshots and production photos!

Students are entrusted with a Press Pass which allows them into school events free of charge, access to a camera closet with top of the line equipment, and are given a free yearbook, the yearly t-shirt, and more!

All students have to provide is an SD card and a good attitude. We can’t wait to see you in class!

The words 'THE TIGER' are displayed in a rectangular black box.

The WCHS yearbook, The Tiger, is a long-standing part of our school’s history. The earliest copy we’ve been able to find is from 1912! For over 110 years, student staffers have been curating memories and keeping track of the accomplishments of their peers.

The Tiger is currently printed by Jostens, Inc. To order your copy of the 25-26 yearbook, please visit JOSTENS.

The 25-26 Volume of The Tiger is created by a highly dedicated staff ranging from sophomores to seniors. Under the leadership of a senior Editor-in-Chief, the student journalists and photographers attend events, take photos, and design the entire 192 page yearbook over the course of a year.

The words 'THE ROAR' are displayed in a rectangular button.

The student newspaper of WCHS has gone through many different phases and names. The earliest papers we have in our collection are from 1936 and they are beautifully bound in a blue hardcover book.

Some different names include The High Times, KONTAC, Tracks, Tiger Tracks, and now The Roar.

The 25-26 issues of The Roar are brought to you by a highly dedicated staff ranging from sophomores to seniors. This is the 15th volume of this specific version of WCHS’s student newspaper. Led by a senior Editor-in-Chief, the student journalists research, write, and design each issue of the paper.

During the 2017-2018 school year, in addition to printing hard copies of The Roar with the help of local shop Hardesty Printing, the staff decided to begin publishing an online copy! As we’ve migrated over to our new website, a few of those earliest digital issues were lost. The staff is working on recovering them! However, if you check out The Archives, found below, you can read issues from last year back to 2019.
