Our roles as an SRO:

(1)    Law Enforcement Officer

(2)    Public Safety Educator

(3)    Informal Counselor/Mentor

Our goal is to establish positive and trusting relationships with students, staff, parents, and the school community.


Corporal Zartman has been with the Warsaw Police Department since September of 2000. Corporal Zartman worked patrol on the midnight shift for 16 years prior to becoming an SRO. Corporal Zartman is a prior K-9 handler (K-9 Bubka) and Field Training Officer.

Sergeant Reed has been with the Warsaw Police Department since March of 2009. Sergeant Reed worked patrol on the midnight shift for 13 years prior to becoming an SRO. Sergeant Reed is a prior K-9 handler (K-9 Dax) and member of WPD’s Emergency Response Team.
