Warsaw Community High School

On Nov 14th, WCHS had 28 students take the STAMP test in an attempt to earn a multilingual certificate of proficiency. The STAMP test assesses the student's proficiency in the four language competencies of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. This assessment is available to students in our upper-level language courses. We had students test in Spanish and French. Last year, Warsaw had 12 students from the class of 2023 who met all requirements and received a Certificate of Multilingual Proficiency at graduation. We look forward to more this coming year! Way to go students!

WCHS Select Theatre is proud to present: They Promised Her the Moon! In 1960 the famed “Mercury Seven” trained at NASA to become the first American astronauts. But they weren’t alone. Thirteen women also underwent the same rigorous psychological and physical testing. The first woman to be tested, Jerrie Cobb, even out-performed her male counterparts. But while Alan Shepard and John Glenn went on to become household names, Ms. Cobb never got that chance. They Promised Her the Moon tells the unknown true story of this exceptional and unjustly overlooked woman—skilled aviator, world-record-holding pilot, successful business executive—and the powerful forces that kept her from reaching orbit. If you plan to drop off and pick up your student from WCHS/WACC, please pay close attention to the map. Routes have been permanently adjusted due to new construction. Tips for a Hassle Free Drop-Off: - Follow the arrows showing traffic flow and drop off or pick up at the specific marked locations (Doors 2/3 and Door 51). - If you create your own route, it holds up the line and bogs down traffic. - Do not mix the yellow and red routes. - You can drop off all along the sidewalk; You don't have to wait until you are all the way up to the door. - Watch for pedestrians (staff) who may have to cross the line to enter the building. - Avoid having to turn left back out onto SR-15.

🚧 Traffic Update for WCHS Parents! 🚧 Tuesday, July 25th through Friday, July 28th: the WCHS front entry (off of Fisher Avenue) will be closed. Please use the entrance off of Logan Street.

Beat the rush! Incoming freshmen, and grades 10-12 who dropped off their iPad at the end of 2022-2023 to be moved over to the new system, can pick up their iPads on August 1st and 2nd from 12:00-5:00 PM in the WCHS PAC Rotunda Area, doors 47 and 48. Tech staff will be available to help you. Please do not plan to walk beyond the PAC area and tour the building at this time as construction workers are still busy preparing the building for the new year. If parents/students cannot pick up their iPads on these days, plan to come to Welcome Back Night and Freshmen Orientation on August 9th from 4:30-7:00. Specific details about the structure of Freshmen Orientation are coming soon!
