The Warsaw Percussion Ensemble delivered an outstanding performance at the Indiana Percussion Association (IPA) Prelim State Competition on Saturday, earning an impressive 4th place finish out of 20 groups in the Scholastic Concert A class. In an incredibly close competition, less than one point separated Warsaw from the first-place group—showcasing the exceptional talent and dedication among the top ensembles.
Their 2025 production, “Stream of Consciousness,” features music by Dream Theater, arranged by Alan Frye, and has captivated audiences with its technical precision and musical artistry.
With this strong placement, Warsaw Percussion has earned a spot in the IPA State Finals for the 28th consecutive year. They are scheduled to perform at the IPA State Finals on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:34 AM at the Indiana State University Hulman Center in Terre Haute. “We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication our students have shown this season,” said Mark Ziegler, Warsaw Percussion Ensemble Director. “Being less than a point from first place proves just how competitive this group is, and we’re excited to see them perform again at state finals.”
We encourage everyone to come out and cheer on the Warsaw Percussion Ensemble as they proudly represent our school and community on the state’s biggest stage for scholastic percussion. Go Tigers!
