Meet the Team

Director of Counseling

Luisa Davis

“This is my 14th year as a High School Counselor. I received my Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Recreation Administration from San Diego State University. I worked at Scott's Grocery Store for 22 years and then went back to school and earned my Master of Science in Counselor Education from IPFW. While working at Scott's, I came to the realization that people seem to come to me to talk about a range of topics and I love helping them and just talking to them. It was then I decided to go back to school to become a school counselor. I had always enjoyed volunteering at my kids' schools and this was a way to get back to the schools and continue working with people of all ages.”

Sarah Roberts

Sarah Roberts will be the counselor for the incoming class of 2030.

“This is my 12th school year as a High School Counselor. I received my Bachelor of Science, majoring in psychology from Ball State University. I earned my Master of Science in Counselor Education from IPFW. I have always been passionate about education. I originally wanted to be a Special Education teacher, but soon realized in college that becoming a School Counselor was a better fit for me. I found a career that is the perfect blend of my two passions.”

Fernando Camargo

This is my third year as a school counselor. I received my Bachelors of Science with a major in Psychology from Indiana Tech. After graduating, I worked at the Bowen Center as a skills coach for three years. While working at the Bowen Center, part of my job responsibility was to provide guidance and support to patients in the school setting. I decided to go back to school to be a school counselor. I earned my Masters of Science in school counseling from Purdue Fort Wayne.”

Rhonda Graney

This is my 12th year as a High School Counselor at Warsaw. Before joining the Warsaw High School Counseling team, I served as an elementary School Counselor for 17 years at Pierceton Elementary in the Whitko School District. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ball State University and my Master of Science in Counselor Education from IPFW. A first-generation high school graduate, I was inspired by my own high school counselor’s support to pursue a career in school counseling. I am passionate about helping students navigate challenges and achieve their goals.”

Valerie Burden

This is my third school year as a High School Counselor. I received my Bachelor of Science in Pre-Med Biology from Indiana Wesleyan University. I decided to change paths and later earned my Transition to Teaching license through the University of Phoenix, and spent two years teaching 7th-grade science. After taking nine years away from the classroom to be home with my children, I realized how much I missed working in education—but I knew I wanted to serve students in a different way. I chose to pursue School Counseling, a field that allows me to combine my love for education with my passion for supporting students. I will graduate with my Master of Science in School Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University in December 2025.”

Peyton Scharpenberg

“I am entering my third year as a High School Counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from Ball State University with the initial goal of becoming a lawyer. However, I realized that the aspects of law that appealed to me most - advocating, problem solving, and supporting others, were also central to the role of a school counselor.  This led me back to Ball State to pursue a Master of Arts in School Counseling. I am grateful to have found a career that I am passionate about and genuinely love!”
