Washington STEM Academy is thrilled to welcome back another former Hornet as Ms. Ashley Hohman will be joining the 4th grade team! Ms. Hohman is a Warsaw graduate from 2004, went on to IPFW for her bachelor's in education and then completed her masters in class instruction and curriculum development from Peru State University. Ms. Hohman has spent the past 8 years teaching at Akron Elementary in grades 1st, 3rd and 4th.
Ms. Hohman states, "I am passionate about working with students and making learning fun." This passion and experience in education stands out as well as the positive environment she creates for all students. She has already been busy this summer transitioning and settling in at Washington while also attending Hoosier Riverwatch training for the upcoming school year.
Coming along with Ms. Hohman to Washington will be her two daughters Khloe (5th grade) and Aubrey (kindergarten). Like their mom, the girls will both be Hornets. In anticipation for the year ahead, Ms. Hohman shared "I cannot wait to meet my 4th grade class here at Washington. I am excited to be part of the STEM program."
We are blessed to welcome Ms. Hohman to Washington STEM Academy!
