7,000 thank yous to our amazing students! Our students are the reason we are fiercely committed to our core values and mission to inspire and equip all students to continuously acquire and apply knowledge and skills while pursuing their dreams and enriching the lives of others.
It was our unwavering devotion to each student that drove the decision to be the first in Indiana to open our schools, to defy the odds and hold an in-person graduation for the Class of 2020, and to commit resources with a “whatever it takes” attitude to keep our schools open.
An enormous thank you goes out today to our community partners. As we look back on 2020, we are humbled and grateful for the outpouring of support. Thank you to individuals, service organizations, and businesses that donated masks, hygiene items, and school supplies. Thank you to local restaurants for helping with meals for families. Thank you to Kosciusko County Health Department - their guidance and support helped to make WCS a model district that other schools sought out for advice.
This month, WCS is partnering with CASA to promote child safety. We are also grateful for Kosciusko County Community Foundation for the scholarship support that will go to our Class of 2021. We’re working with United Way of Kosciusko County’s “Big Give” campaign to fill up Ready-to-Go bags with school supplies for August 2021. Our community partners at BYC, YMCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, CCS, TCU, and so many others remind us daily that “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work.”
This week, WCS will welcome guest speaker Jonathan Wilkins thanks to community support from Tri-Kappa, 1st Source Bank, Sym Financial Advisors, and the Esther Pfleiderer Charitable Trust.
We could not operate without ALL of these fabulous individuals, service organizations, and local businesses. Please join us as we thank our students & community for their contribution.
