Today at Leesburg, students had many opportunities to practice listening, speaking, reading and writing in Spanish. With all of the intentional work that their teachers do to get them to practice the language, it's no wonder they are making such great progress!
Kindergartners have been working on mastering all of their letter sounds in Spanish. Now they are joining letter sounds and vowel sounds to make syllables - the beginning of learning how to read in Spanish.
First grade students practice making addition and subtraction families then worked on their Spanish language arts with a fun review game.
Second graders worked in math centers to learn about addition and subtraction facts. They took an algebraic focus and found missing parts of equations. They also worked on word problems, tablets, review games and comparing numbers.
We are excited to watch these students develop their language!
