STEM Education is a Project-Based Learning approach to education that involves a hands-on education for all students. Students develop collaboration skills, critical thinking skills, and problem solving abilities. STEM education is a mindset that encourages students to solve real-world problems.
In support of STEM education, Da-Lite/Legrand has partnered with Jefferson STEM to
provide equipment, supplies, and volunteers. Most recently, they have donated
equipment focused on green energy, hydroelectric power, robotics, and outdoor
education. These tools and projects will inspire students to develop a passion for learning.
Mark Sproles, a co-site captain of the local Legrand AV Better Communities Program said,
“We value our partnership with Jefferson Elementary and being able to provide learning
tools, supplies, and activity volunteers. It is very rewarding to everyone involved with our
Legrand AV/Da-Lite Better Communities initiative.”
Jefferson STEM values this partnership and hopes to grow the relationship with Da-
Lite/Legrand for many years to come.
