Mrs. Dindy Snyder is a familiar face at Jefferson. Three years ago, she served our Spartans as a one-to-one paraprofessional and then later fulfilled her student-teaching assignment under Mrs. George in 5th grade. Last year she joined our 5th-grade team full time when an additional section was added partway into the year. Moving into the new 2021–22 school year, Mrs. Snyder will be teaching 6th grade. Being a Spartan is a natural fit!
Mrs. Snyder comes to Jefferson with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Mathematics from Purdue University Fort Wayne. Regarding why she became an educator, Mrs. Snyder stated, "I want to make a difference in our youth and younger generations. I want to see students achieve their goals and dreams, and I want to be one of their biggest cheerleaders along the way!"
Mrs. Snyder grew up in Kendallville, Indiana, where she was actively involved in farming, 4-H, pageants, and show choir. Her parents and two older brothers still live in her hometown. She is married to Caleb Snyder, and they have a one-year-old son, named Carson (see photo). They also have two dogs, Harper and Bentley.
When not in school, Mrs. Snyder enjoys spending time with her husband and son, playing outside, taking bike rides, walking nature trails, and going to the lake. She also enjoys reading as a way to relax and has an interest in crafting, although, she says, "I am not super artistic."
We are so glad that Mrs. Snyder is a part of Team Jefferson!
