The Reading for Riley read-a-thon is this Friday. This is your last week to get donations from friends and family members to help support Riley's Children's Hospital. For those joining us after school tomorrow for the read-a-thon, we will be meeting in the library after school. Be sure to bring your donations, comfy clothes, and blankets and pillows to set up your reading places in the library, and of course, something to read! We will be reading, playing games, having drawings, and eating lots of pizza. The read-a-thon will end promptly at 9:00p so please have your ride here by then.

Game Club will meet today after school to enjoy all sorts of games to play with your friends until 4pm. Please have a ride ready to pick you up at 4pm. You can sign up by emailing Mr. Wise. Students with high amounts of missing work will stay with Mr. Demopoulos instead of Game Club, so make wise choices so you can come and have fun.

Dress code violations are increasing as the days are getting warmer.  Listen carefully...Edgewood will permit holes in the jeans that are fingertip length and below. All tank tops and shirts must have shoulder coverage that is ID width. Under garments should not be visible.  No midriff shirts showing any skin all the way around the body.  Students wearing leggings must wear a long enough shirt that covers their front and back side to be fingertip length. Skirts and shorts are to be fingertip length.

Students who violate the foregoing rules will not be admitted to class and consequences may be assigned. This will be addressed by teachers and the administrative staff. Anything that is distracting to the educational environment is not appropriate attire for Edgewood Middle School.

 PARENT  INFORMATION

WCS will be sending out a press release and School Messenger message to all households to ask parents and guardians of this year’s 2020-2021 students to complete an intent to return form indicating whether or not they plan for their students to return for the 2021-2022 school year.  All parents completing the survey by 4/2 will be entered into a drawing to win one of five iPad Air 2 units with brick and charging cable.

Girls & Boys Soccer Tryouts will be held March 23, 24 and 25th from 3:15 to 5.

The Reading for Riley Read-a-thon is here! On Friday March 26th from 3-9:00p, Edgewood will hold its annual read-a-thon in support of Riley's Children's Hospital. Participants raise money by pledging to read and are entered to win multiple prizes. Games & pizza are provided the night of the read-a-thon. Students who are interested should see Mrs. Helser, Mrs. Beer, or Mrs. Toumey for a sign up sheet. This even counts as 6 hours of volunteer work for National Junior Honors Society members.
