Breydon Shaub, Will Colman, Ethan Paul, Ellie Zollinger, and Kellen Hueber were all a part of the First Lego League (FLL) team last year at Washington Elementary and expressed a desire to continue being a part of FLL this year. Washington formed a parent sponsored team called the Edgewood Buzzing Hornets. This past weekend was our qualifying tournament. The team had a fantastic robot run, scoring 235 points and placing 6th out of 15 teams. They also had a successful innovation project presentation and were awarded the Innovation Project winner!
The team will be moving on to the semi-state tournament on December 9th in Fort Wayne!
Thanks to Washington Elementary and the parents for finding a way to keep these 7th graders involved in something they enjoy!
